Process Description of Austenitic Stainless Steel Forgings

2023-07-14

Austenitic stainless steel forgings are more difficult to forge than ordinary steel, but there are few surface defects. Most austenitic stainless steel forgings can be forged over a wide temperature range above 927°C. Since austenitic stainless steel forgings have no phase transformation in the high temperature range, the forging temperature is higher than that of martensitic stainless steel, but high chromium or low carbon stainless steel does not have the above properties, because when the temperature is higher than 1093 ℃, high chromium or low carbon stainless steel will produce different contents of ferrite according to the composition, which is harmful to forgeability.

Safety appliances include insulated safety appliances and general protective appliances. There are two main types of insulated safety appliances: basic insulated safety appliances and auxiliary insulated safety appliances.

1. Basic insulation for safety

Basic insulation safety appliances refer to all appliances whose insulation strength is sufficient to resist the operating voltage of electrical equipment.

High-voltage electroscope, insulating clamp, insulating rod and insulating rod are used for high-voltage basic insulation safety.

Low-voltage basic insulation safety with low-voltage test pen, insulating gloves and equipped with insulating tools.

Basic insulated safety appliances can be in direct contact with live conductors. Basic insulated safety appliances should be used for direct contact with live conductors.

2. Auxiliary insulation safety appliances

Auxiliary insulated safety appliances are safety appliances whose insulation strength is not sufficient to withstand the operating voltage of electrical equipment.

High-voltage auxiliary insulation safety with high-voltage insulation gloves, insulation boots, insulation pads and insulation tables.

Low-voltage auxiliary insulation safety with insulating shoes, insulating pads and insulating table, etc.

Auxiliary insulation safety appliances can only strengthen the protection of basic insulation safety appliances, that is, to prevent contact voltage, step voltage and arc burn hazards to operators.

3. General protective equipment

① Temporary grounding wire. Temporarily short-circuit and ground the power-off equipment to prevent electric shock caused by wrong power transmission.

② Temporary safety barrier. To prevent the staff from entering the live interval and touching the equipment by mistake.

③ signs. Measures to prevent workers from mistakenly connecting live equipment and powering off equipment and lines.

④ Safety helmet. It is suitable for high-altitude operation to prevent head injury.

⑤ Safety belt. Suitable for high-altitude operations to prevent workers from falling.

The protective glasses. It is suitable for replacing fuse, operating outdoor equipment, watering cable insulation glue and replacing battery liquid.

⑦ Cloth gloves. Suitable for handling fusible metal and pouring wire and cable edge glue.
